Position Overview– The position requires operators to work closely in a team environment performing tasks from assembly through packaging of multi component valves, operators and other assemblies. Must have excellent hand dexterity and ability to use all tools required (training provided). Must be able to read and understand Assembly Work Orders and Work Instructions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must have excellent hand dexterity working with small components
- Must have knowledge how to use all tools required for hand assembling
- Setup and Operate the “external sink tester”
- Read and Understand;
- Assembly Work Orders
- Assemble Work Instructions
- Control Drawings
- Coil Specification Charts
- Torque Specification Charts
- Read and Operate Digital meter
- Ability to distinguish the difference in part appearance
- Meet daily production goals
- Must be team oriented and flexible to perform different tasks within Assembly cells
- Follow all company safety rules and report any unsafe acts or conditions to the area supervisor.
- Have a full understanding of all company processes procedures and rules as stated in the Peter Paul Electronics Co., Inc., Employee Handbook.
- Perform any other actives as requested by Area Lead or area supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 20 days experience in assembly
- Must have high score on dexterity test
- Ability to make sound decisions and accept the responsibility for his or her actions
- Participate in company problem resolution teams
- Participate in company Kaizen events
- Understand lean and Flow concepts.
- Trainability
- Must be detail oriented
- 0-20 corrected eye sight
- Minimal computer literacy
- Support the strategic goals and vision of the organization by promoting lead time reduction and contribute to the overall experience of our customers.
- Ability to continuously lift up to 30 Lbs.
- Must be able to read and understand English
